I've just come back from Slovakia and my gf's mum served this every morning, but using bacon and salami, along with the eggs and fresh paprika (not the powder) - it's immense and I can assure you we have nothing like it in Britain. Ham, Eggs and Chips (fries) is the only British dish I can think of that mixes ham and eggs, but this wouldn't be eaten for breakfast and also is all laid out separately on the plate, not mixed up together

We also have eggs sunny side up here in the States, but these never have ham. It’s good to hear that British have this combination. Seems that the eggs with ham mix never made it over the pond; here eggs are served either with bacon or with sausage links.
