Just like with ahoj, you can use "cau" to say hello or goodbye. I think it's the slovak version of "ciao" in Italian. You can even here the diminutive, "cauko." It's country language or it's czech word, not slovak which makes it incorrect. I am from Bratislava and I don't see people using it anyways... I prefer "ahoj" and "cau"....
